Christian A - USA This was about 18 months before Nevermind and 6 months before @davegrohl joined. My friend and I drove from Philly to see Nirvana at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ. I brought along their first vinyl release (a numbered edition 45) and my Bleach CD from @jacksmusicshop in Red Bank, hoping to get them signed. Maxwell’s was laid-back, so we ended up chatting with Kurdt, Chris, and Chad after the show. They were all super friendly and even signed my records. Kurdt crossed out Jason Everman’s name on my CD and told me he didn’t play on Bleach. Kurdt put us on the guest list for their Philly show at JC Dobbs. When we got there, though, we weren’t on the list. Turns out Kurdt had written our names down but kept the paper in his sock, and the sweat made the ink run! He got us our money back, though. Great memories from when they were still up-and-coming. Saw them a few more times, but by then, they were blowing up!#3
Charles - USA I picked up this Nirvana gem on eBay back in 2012, and it’s signed by Chad Channing on the back! While I wish I had more details about its history, I know it was previously owned by Rob Daily (USA).While it’s not in mint condition (and might have been lifted from Evergreen’s radio station), it’s still a pretty cool piece of Nirvana history to have around.#44
KM- USA In a casual chat with a record store clerk, my husband found out that his Nirvana ``Love Buzz`` single could be worth over $5k if it were in “mint condition” . The best part? He didn’t even pay for it—he snagged it from a “free shit” box left by a departing housemate back in Olympia in 1990! While it’s not in mint condition (and might have been lifted from Evergreen’s radio station), it’s still a pretty cool piece of Nirvana history to have around.
